What you wear and how you prepare will make a huge difference in your pictures.

Engagements Bridals Boudoir

Where to Go

  • Think of places that are special to you two: where you met, where you went on your first date, a place you frequently visit, or maybe there's a place you've driven by and both said, "wouldn't it be great to take a picture there!"
  • Any location can work. Don't worry about other people, the weather, or what we might say. If you think it sounds weird or absurd, we're going to love it.

How to Dress

  • Bring at least two outfits. One can be more casual than the other.
  • Stick to solid colors or subtle patterns; you don't want a busy shirt to stand out more than your smile.
  • Vibrant colors always look great.
  • Earth tones look wonderful, but try to stay away from all-black or all-white clothing.
  • For shoes think classy, hip, or barefoot. And if your shoes are uncomfortable, bring a pair of flip-flops you can change in to if we need to walk (which we will). Gentlemen, please leave the Reeboks at home, along with the white sport socks.
  • Dress to impress. Your engagement shoot is the perfect time to be at your best for pictures you will keep forever. Don't be afraid to look extra cute, a touch more wild, a little bit formal, or otherwise different than you do Monday through Friday.

What to Bring

  • We are open to anything you can think up, especially if it is significant to you emotionally, culturally, or otherwise. Again, if you think it sounds weird or absurd, we're going to love it!
  • Consider hobbies or interests you both share, things you do together, or even just something fun laying around the house.
  • Towels are encouraged if you are prone to sweating, especially for guys in the warmer months. We generally do our engagement shoots outdoors for the most natural photos, and the Texas summer seems to last for six months. So don't be afraid to bring something that you can use to wipe your face off with every now and then. You'll feel a lot better, and your pictures will benefit as well!
  • Children and dogs are welcome, and we absolutely love both. Please make sure to bring a family member or friend to watch over them when they aren't involved with the pictures though.
  • Most importantly, bring your love for each other, and an open mind.
